Sunday Morning Worship - 10:15 am

Every Sunday morning we gather together as a church to worship our God through songs, prayer, and the reading and preaching of His Word.  While there are many different times and places at which our members gather for various reasons, this Sunday morning service is the main meeting of La Plata Baptist Church.  More than any other time, this is where we sit together under God's Word so that we may be mutually encouraged and challenged.

Our morning service usually lasts about an hour and a half.  We'd love to see you, and we'd encourage you to plan on sticking around a few minutes after the service to meet and be cared for by our members.  We're not a church that leaves quickly once the service is finished - we love to stay for a while, talk, catch up with one another, and get to know whatever visitors the Lord brings.

Sunday School -
9:30 am

We meet at 9:30 prior to the morning service for Sunday School. Our courses are a series of informative, interactive, and challenging classes that are meant to help you grow in your Christian walk. 

We also offer Children's Sunday School for children between the ages of 4-7 years, depending on how many children are present at 9:30 am.

Wednesday Bible Study -

​Every Sunday evening, with the exception of the first Sunday of the month[1], we gather together to close the day by singing together, hearing a short devotional from the Bible, and spending a good amount of time praying for one another.  

These services, which last about an hour, is where we share one another's burdens and sorrows, we rejoice with one another, we pray to our Lord, and we see - over and over again - how he answers our prayers and pours out his kindness on us!

[1] On the first Sunday of every month, we also celebrate the Lord's Supper together as part of the morning service - because of this, there is no evening prayer service on the first Sunday of the month.

Each Wednesday evening, we study  verse by verse through a New Testament epistle.  We take time together to observe the text, interpret it accurately, and then thoughtfully apply it to our lives.

These studies are interactive, with the leader relying primarily on questions, and with those present taking time to think and to participate by sharing their thoughts with the group.
